Hi,

Im 8 months into my IVA , tough but going OK . This morning I got a really horribly worded letter from a company called
Blair Oliver & Scott Ltd of Fife in Scotland (anyone heard of them)
chasing me for money I owed on a credit card from Intelligent Finance (Halifax), I think. Saying things like they'd be sending debt collectors to my address, placing charging orders against my property.
My IP has taken over and is dealing with them it just concerns me a little that they say in this letter that I had failed to respond to attempts to contact them. I called Intelligent Finance all the way through and the IP contacted them 5 times.
Is this standard practice , it's like debt collectors can say and do whatever they like.
IP says not to worry but it has really cheesed me off at the start of a long weekend.

Thanks for listening

regards

To err is human, to create a complete horlicks requires a computer!!!

Don't worry, I'm sure your IP will sort it out.

Hi ascn,

Blair oliver & Scott (BOS) are the in house debt collection department for HBOS!
As Catullus says worry not and pass it on to your IP next week.
Remember debt collectors are very unlikely to call and if they did they can not gain entry.
Your IVA is a legally binding contract.

Enjoy the break sun is shining (OK its not where i am sat but i am forever an optimist!)

Open a beer and relax!

KR, Lenalena

hi there,

I have 3 accounts with Blair oliver and scott, they called me last week and when I explained that I was entering an IVA they said fine and put acount on hold for 30 Days ... to be honest they have been ok and have never really had a problem with them even when I entered an arrangement with them a couple of years ago.
don't worry your IVA has been approved for ages so just speak or send info to your IP
