We have now been in an IVA for 1 year and approx 6 months. In we i mean my husband and I [:D]. it was my idea to enter into the iva and i am therefore now feeling really guilty for this but at the time i did not see another way out it felt a bit like all the walls were closing in on me.

Anyway to cut a long story short i did not do enough research into what we would loose by entering into this iva, i feel a bit like i have lost all my freedom financially and personally.

This might sound like i am nothing but a moaner but honest i am not.

The iva has tought me some very valuable lessons including how to control my money and not to spend beyond my means. This is my first time of posting on any forums so please forgive me if i blabber on a bit.

I am looking for help and advice from anyone who could help.
I am really eager to end this iva early. However we have no relatives that might be able to help or i dont think that we have any chance of winning the lotto any time soon even though i would love that.

To cut this post short or it will run on for ever i would love if someone could give me some advice on anywhere that can help to end an iva early by suppling you with a loan of somesort if these actually exist ??

And the steps i should take to end the iva early if i manage to get the funds.

I have just got a new job and feel like my life is only just beginning ( even though i am 28 ) but i would really like to start this new part of my life like a clean sheet. So if anyone can help then i will be eternally gratefull. But if you cant then thanks for spending your time reading this post.

Hi there and welcome to the forum

Sorry - borrowing money to pay off an IVA is not an option, even if you could find someone who would be prepared to offer you funding. This would probably take a lot longer to pay off than the 3 1/2 years you have left to pay on the IVA in any case.

Why do you feel that you want to end the IVA now?

Hey k290, welcome to the forum. You are in the right place for some good advice. There are lots of tips on here of how to save money and make it through your IVA. You've managed to get through the first year and this is supposed to be the hardest part, don't give up yet. Please don't think about a loan, you have already sorted your debts out by choosing an IVA, it would be an awful shame to go back into debt again.

Don't feel guilty either, was some of the debt your Husbands? I'm sure you chose the right route, but obviously I don't know your situation and I'm not an expert. If you post some more background info, maybe this will help in getting some advice. Viki X
