ive been in an iva for almost 3 years now and so far everything has gone fine.ive been doing a fair bit of overtime recently for which i am to be paid this month.ive complied so far with all bonuses(giving half the cleared funds into the IVA),but recently my dad became ill and has had to stop working, and rather than give up half of my cleared funds to the iva,i want/need to help my parents who are in a difficult situation.is this likely to be a problem with my IP?

Hello,
One of the best ways to find out if this is a problem is to actually call your I.P and explain your situation. I dont think this should be too much of a problem your I.P may increase your monthly payment until the extra money is received.

You need to discuss this with your IP as soon as you can and see if you can gain their agreement on this.

I expect that your IP, whilst sympathising with your parents predicament, will state that they have to supervise the arrangement in line with its original terms, so please do not be disappointed if the answer is no.
