I moved flats about 4 months ago and had a bill from the old flat sent to my new one which i actually forgot to pay. now i have a bill from the new flat and ive paid that, ive had a letter from npower pre-court devision but ive lost it (sorry im not well organised), its for somethign like £180. ive tried ringing npower but they only have record of the bill ive just paid of £70. what should i do? i dont fancy being taken to court or baliffs etc. what should i do? im a bit worried now.

If you acknowledge that you owe this debt, then you will need to make arrangements to pay it with the power company. If you dispute the amount, then you will need to discuss this with their accounts department. Were meter readings taken by you when you moved out?

yer i owe the debt but npower dont have a record of the previous bill for some reason, its odd. they have a record of the bill ive just paid but not my previous address bill. how can i pay it if there system doesnt have it ? should i just wait for another letter from the pre-court devision

Well they must have records of it if they are taking you to Court!

Generally though they will give you time to pay if if there is a liability as well
