Hi,

I was idscharged from my bankruptcy in Februaury 2006. I need to know if I can open an eBay shop to use as my main income? so in effect this would be my own business trading under my name.

Thanks in advance

Julie

Hi Julie,

Providing that you are not subject to any bankruptcy restrictions order or bankruptcy restrictions undertaking, you can trade under your own name.

Out of interest, what do you intend to sell?

I think I had an order placed on me but not 100% sure, how can I find out? I am planning on selling electronics in a bid to be able to stay at home and look after my children

Julie,

The Official Receiver's office that dealt with your case will be able to tell you if an order or undertaking is in place. If there is, they should have provided you with a copy at the time it was made.

You can also look on the Insolvency Service website - there is a register of people who are subject to BRUs and BROs

Here's the link - http://www.insolvency-service.co.uk/ddi ... search.htm.

It looks as though you search by surname.
