Apologies but I need a little rant. My IVA company are driving me up the wall. Firstly they it takes nearly 3 months to get review paperwork then they lose the first set that i sent them so i had to send another set via recorded delivery and had a letter back from yesterday back to say that they'll need proof of my monthly car insurance costs (already sent back in March) and also proof of the car repairs (fair enough) but they also want copies of our payslips from June 2006 to June 2007 which they have already got as we provide them a 6 monthly basis and i send a copy every month along with my partners bonus cheque - do they not keep them on our file!!! Grrrrrr... Also final little rant they want proof of my partners expenditure (he works all over the south west) well I can send copies of the sheets that he uses to claim the monies back but i can't provide evidence of the monies he can't claim back like car park machine not giving him a receipt and his lunches when is stays away as he can't make his sandwiches.
I know IVAs aren't the easy option but this is really tough going!

Yes they are a large company but we went with them because they had the R3 (think that is right) thingy. If it wasn't for my partner travelling all over the south west and having to pay for parking & site expense etc and then sorting out his 50% of his bonus on the months he makes bonus then our IVA would be straightforward and alot easier to manage but I am hoping that they accept our revised I&E as over the past year the IVA things have changed and when we initially took out the IVA I never put in a budget for my glasses and we only have £40 as miscellaneous/contingency (not alot when you take into consideration haircuts, birthdays, christmas etc for 2 people.)Yes I know I'm having a bit of whinge but I actually do need a new pair of glasses and I can't afford them!

Hi Louisa
Might be worth at looking at your outgoings again and having a chat with your IP!
We all forget that IVA's can be varied!

The 50% provision is fair, and difficult to argue. It is also pretty standard too these days.
However your IP does seem to be very particular in their review process - I am amazed that they have the time to do this, but cannot knock it! I am afraid that I take a much more commercial and pragmatic approach to annual reviews - probably because I have complete trust in all of my clients to tell me the truth. I am rarely proved wrong!
I take the view that it is the client who has to live through a fairly tough five years, and that they do this out of choice rather than being forced into it. You have to cut a little slack when dealing with human beings - and treat clients as you would expect to be treated yourself. I wonder who is paying for all this additional work - and whether the additonal cost will justify any additional monies to be paid over by you? I very much doubt it!
