Has anyone had blackhorse or northern actually vote yes to IVA. I have approx £80 in debt of which £11k is Northern Rock and approx £16k is black horse, i ve heard these are two of the hardest companies to get an iva passed with and seens as together there over 25% of the value it will affect me gaining the 75% i need. Any advice on previous dealings with these would be great id prefer to know now if i need to look at the BR route, My IP hasnt actually said anything about these two but having read about these two on this site i dont feel confident at all.! any help appreciated

Hi Richm

As you are aware, Northern Rock and Blackhorse have a high rate of rejection for IVAs.

However, there are cases where they do accept, although with modifications. You should speak to your IP about this for specific advice.

Hope this helps

my husband owed NR 7k & they said NO!
As our was a joint iva/interlinked,i was told that if mine got a vote but my husbands didnt then the iva wouldnt be approved,so im guessing if no one votes its the same!!(its not approved)

Hi,

NR said yes to me, but with a modification (I had to pay in any windfall over £500)...around £7 owed back in June 2007 though. I know these banks/creditors are getting tougher now.

Good luck!

NR gave me a blatant no with no explanation and they were not the majortity creditor!

Ho Hum! Think I'll bang my drum!

blackhorse rejected my iva proposal out right and wouldn't budge not even with mods, NR had the majority vote at 25% and said yes only if i agreed to an extra 118 per month, which was impossible.
