When will tyhis end it does not seem fair. what to stop them coming after his pension next. Please any advice would be good.

Hi
was that company included in his bankruptcy?

This is not unusual, the beneficial interest is not your fathers, it belongs to the official receivers office. Your father would have been advised of this when he was made bankrupt and when he was discharged.

Mike

Would the OR not have asked them at the time if there was someone who was able to purchase his BI?

Hi sadsack - I have only just dealt with a very similar situation. The OR did not offer the BK to purchase the BI, the one I dealt with was over 15 years old. He went to cash in the edowment only to find the OR had a charge lodged on it for the BI.
