HI just recieved a letter to day from Bank of Scotland say this is the final notice if payment not made within 7 days it will be put in to the hands of debt collectors who could call at your home, i have sent these letters to my IP as instructed ,do they do any thing with these letters? my iva proposal has been drafted and is going through achecking process .worried about debt collectors to the door.

I wouldnt worry too much, they rarely come and if they do just tell them the situation and refer them back to your company. It will be ages before it would reach the point of someone knocking the door, you should be all done and dusted hopefullyby then.

Debt Collectors can not enter your property without a Court appointed warrant until you have been given notice of this you do not have to grant access.

This is seemingly a tactic used by some creditors to encourage payment. You've done the right thing by sending it to your IP who will be able to advise you if needed.

Nobody ever came!
