Maybe I am being too paranoid.. and I am having panic attacks.... constantly... I am not sleeping at night... and I have so many questions I should have asked.. Before signing anything... I mean...

I know it is a bit too late now.... I have to learn to go with the flow!!!

God!! 3 yrs, I really wish I was in a 3 years....
I really want to stay positive about it.... All I wanted was a debt consolidation.. and I have been offered an IVA.. They made it sound so good at the start... But again.. I am thinking.. It wasn't all that bad having 4c/c and a loan... I really think I made a mess of it...

Never mind hey!! Show must go on.....!!

hi there going on holiday abroad may be best to speak to your ip but i think your creditors will take a dim view of this that if somebody whos in debt how can they aford to go on holidays on a iva if your bankrupt you cant because it will show up on your bank statements if you are using your debt card or cash card if large amounts of money are going out though your account and can put upto another 15 years in some cases if your bankrupt

Can I just say that it is ok to go on holiday while you are bankrupt - many ORs (including mine) will give you a holiday allowance. As I have no children I have an allowance of £20 per month. Also, if you have any surplus in BR it is yours to do as you wish with. I am saving some of mine alongside my holiday allowance so that Dave and I can go away next year.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

If you have saved up money from your monthly expenditure then you can use this for a holiday BUT the only trouble you might have is if some appliance or car etc in your house breaks down, if you've used that money for a holiday you wont have any contingency left.

Maybe someone can pay for the holiday [:D]

the sun do holiday vouchers...i know its not paradise places but its still a nice break from the norm. We went to a haven site holiday in devon last year...5 days ...nice caravan...2 adults and 3 kids cost us... £95.00. Also depends on work but Rob was allowed work as normal the week before we went but also to have a couple of days holiday pay added the that weeks pay. Uses some of your holiday but the money was used for spending money whilst on holiday. HTH x

If you have managed to save the money from the surplus of any monthly budgets you have been allocated then yes of course you can go on holiday if in an IVA, the same applies if someone else pays for your holiday.

However, it might be wiser to put any surplus moneys away in case a need for money arises further into the IVA.

Hi there poso I am going on a sun holiday in a couple of weeks it has cost us in total £60 for four nights, There is no reason you cannot go on holiday if you save the money, either form I and E or from your 50% overtime but as said dont forget to keep some for those unexpected emergencies. I am quite excited about going to Devon in a caravan and have my little box of goodies for food building up. I am lucky in that we never went abroad at all so I wont miss it, you learn to make your own fun and when you have it you enjoy it so much more when you pay yourself.
