hi melanie and andy why cant you how a form of protection on a dmp plan while of a iva you have this protection from legal action being taken agaist you and having to worry about nasty letters and tec messages and phone calls from credits all the time even though the dmp plan sounds good but you are not protected from legal action why not

Because an IVA is one thing and a DMP is another. A bit like apples and pears really!

thanks melanie one more thing do creditors have to accept a dmp or a iva if you are in deep debt for anyreason all fallen behind on payments

There is nothing to force creditors to accept either an IVA or a DMP. Creditors are free to take whatever steps they feel are most appropriate to recover their balances.

thanks melanie one more thing have you ever had since being a ip had people coming to you saying they have had tex messages from creditors ot had home visits without notice

No - but I gather the text message facility is starting to be used. Home visits are extremely rare, but just the threat of them seems to have the desired effect to force people into making ongoing payments.

the main 2 for tex message service is mbna and hfc bank which is part of hsbc and the home visit one i had was for hfc back which is part of hsbc might be worth noting down melanie
