Now I am in an IVA with no disposable income after all - how the H**l does one pay fine???
I know I am a numpty and should not have been speeding - but hey ....... s*** happens!!!!
Apologies all - just needed to vent and moan!

You will have to pay the fine, as failure to do so will hold you in contempt of Court. I assume that you have a miscellanous provision within your IVA proposals, which could be used to fund the fine, alternatively ask your IP if you can forego one payment to cover the fine. I hope it was not too high!

Hi Mel
Thanks for replying!!! I will pay the fine as being in contempt of court is the last thing I need! The fine is not too bad - £60. I just hat having the points! Think I am going to have to petition car manufacturers to reduce the maximum speed on their cars!!!!

It,s strange really when you think that a speeding fine or indeed a parking fine do not take into account peoples ability to pay.

Hi Andy
There always seems to be some little devil around the corner waiting to jump on your head! Just when you think "I can cope", something else crops up.

Sorry to hear about the speeding fine Sue.
Andy, I know what you mean about fines - my theory is it's just another way to screw money from the motorist. Cynical, moi?!?
Never!

I hadn't thought about that Andy - I'll be a bit more careful where I abandon, sorry park, my car from now on! I don't think my mum would be too happy about bailing me out yet again!

You all crack me up and you have made my day!!! I never thought about the clamping bit - I spend 90% of my time driving and parking in London - guess what? Congestion charges!!!! How do you pay them without a card? Ok, you stop at a shop that displays a sign that you can pay your congestion charge there. Wonderful!!!! No damn parking anywhere near the shop!!! Well, pay online then! Sure! Did you hear - no bloody card!!!!!
Keep me smiling please!!!!

Do you know about the prepay cards??? There is one that I have and you dont need a debit card to get one either.
www.myclashplus.com
Its not free though, read the terms and conditions
I have the same problem with no card, Lloyds cashcard account, you can only withdraw money from lloyds machines. (running out of petrol trying to find one is fun, also being mugged with all the cash is too, believe me I know) So I went into the shiny new co op bank thats just appeared in my little town and I have opened a new account with them; it comes with electron visa card, internet banking and withdrawals from any link machines. Pure joy. I told them my circumstances, debt, etc etc and they were very nice to me, even gave me a cup of tea. We dont have congenstion charges where I have the cheek to exist, so I really cannot identify with that. I hope this helps. Good luck

You know - the more I read about the Co-op Banking system, the more I like it!! They really seem to be ok with people like us in an IVA.
Thanks for all your help and advice - I guess this is what the forum is for!!
