Hi, Im about 6 mths into an IVA with synergi partners & Im unhappy with my agreement & the service they are providing. I have been told that I can get someone to review my IVA & that there is a possibility of starting over with a different company. Could you advise on this? Also, is it possible to settle my IVA early, as my parents have offered to lend me the money to do this as an option. Many Thanks

What aspects of your IVA are you unhappy with ? Synergi have few friends on here so the more detail you provide the better. With it only being 6 months in, it is likely that all your contributions so far have have only gone towards nominee/admin fees and none will have been paid to your creditors but this would be the same with any IP. How much did you owe your creditors and do you have any assets to protect ?

Hi gtm
You cannot really change IP's once you are in an IVA, and it is a shame that you are not happy by the service being provided by your current company.
It may be possible to offer an early settlement, however creditors will be suprised that this is happening so early on into your IVA. How much are you paying per month, and how much are your parents offer?ing to give you - also how much do you owe in total

Hi,
Every time I contact them with queries or questions they never get back to me, even when I ring I get put through to someone who just says they have no details of mt letters. When i explain my query/question they just say that someone will get back to me & no one ever does. Im currently paying £372 a month which I have kept up & I owe around £20,000 in total.I have also checked my earnings as they say that I earn 931 per month & anything over this I need to pay them 50% of, which is fair enough. But when I have looked at my wage slips for the past year I have earned 946 per month & this has never changed, so I wonder how they have got this figure. Even though they do not answer my queries or letters they still send out requests for my payslips every two months & warn me that I need to pay in any extra earnings. I just feel that they are not very helpful & dont feel that they are working for/with me.

hi g_tm so sorry you are not getting the response from this company, i am not a great fan of synergi at all!
they proposed an unrealistic iva for me which was rejected at the creditors meeting, i had to send 3 registered letters to them just to get back my paperwork and never received a copy of the chairmans report from the creditors meeting, i have complained to their regulatory body and have asked them to look at my case in regards to time scales and why have i never received the paperwork asked for.
keep on at them and ask to speak to the IP personally or you will be making a formal complaint as you are not happy with the service you are reeiving, be insistent and don't let them fob you off
good luck

So you are paying £372 per month for 60 months which equals £22,320 and you only owe £20,000? I am amazed that this was accepted at a meeting of creditors. If you have the offer of a settlement get out of this unecessary IVA as soon as you can. If you can pay off the debts in full, there is no need for a variation meeting, although you will have to pay the IP's costs incurred to date. Make sure you scrutinise these fully, given the poor reputation that this particular firm appear to enjoy.
