From Accuma telling me that they have not been able to collect the DD for my IVA. Not surprising really as I was made BR in March! My IP was aware of this (he advised me to go BR) and I notified my contact after I had done the deed. I also asked for my original paperwork to be returned to me - do I need to do all this in writing? I wasn't told to, and to be honest I thought that it would be picked up and my paperwork would be returned.

Hi Skippy!

Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing????!!!!! I am getting to the stage where everything I do now is in writing as no-one seems to take any notice of phone calls anymore! Think you had better put pen to paper and notify them of their recommendations and that you want your paperwork back! As for the DD, did you cancel it?

hello, skippy, photocopy your bankruptcy order and FAX it to ACCUMA along with a brief letter stating you want your paperwork returned asap. Also, as Sadsack mentioned cancel the direct debit. For a minute there I thought he was suggesting cancelling me out. Ha!

All I have left is my humour. :)

Hi Skippy i also photo copy all paper work and send all mail to do with debt issues by recorded mail at least that way im alwaya assured it has been recieved,i should think this is probably just an error on accumas part but i would put it in writting anyway, just for your personal records, ive got that much paperwork now ive had to invest in a bigger box.

We could never cancel you DD! The direct debit (to save confusion!) is cancelled and the 85p in the bank account became part of my BR! I will have to get this sorted out as I am now worried that they might try and make me BR as my IVA has failed! I presume the confusion about the DD (not you, don't worry!!!) came about because I went BR before my IVA had failed as I didn't want to wait 3 months when I knew I would still have to do it myself anyway.

As my BR notice obviously wasn't clear enough perhaps I should take out an advert on daytime TV (between the adverts for IVAs and DMPs!) declaring that I am bankrupt!

You have nothing to worry about. Accuma are a very bit volume processor, and obviously there are some internal communication delays in processing your details. I am sure that if you speak to your former Supervisor directly, this can be sorted out relatively easily.

lol, skippy. I can see that advert now. You flying around a debt management advert in a pastel pink warrior's helmet to match the cape of course, a silver sword of justice in one hand and your br order in the other, wording facing the viewers saying loudly,'' Onwards and upwards!'' Ha!

All I have left is my humour. :)

haha..with all the worrying and confusion posted on this forum daily, its great to see some laughter too.

Skippy, I agree with Melanie and think that it’s just a case of internal communication delay on Accuma’s part.

Hope this information is of use
