Hiya
I am considering an IVA and I wondering how long the IVA stays on my credit file and after how long it will be before I am able to get credit again. I know everyone must ask these question, thanks

Hi e.p

An IVA stays on your file for the duration of the IVA. It will end when you pay your last payment, and a notification/certificate of satisfaction/completion will be issued to the credit agencies notifying them of such.

I do have to ask you a question though. Why would you want to take out more credit when it was credit that got you to the point of considering an IVA?

The IVA stays on your file for 6 years from the date it is agreed.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.
