Hi
I presume that you are concerned about your credit rating.
You will certainly be "blacklisted" and would have been aware had you a CCJ,if you have not recently moved.
The IVA will stay on your credit file for 6 years[as would a CCJ] from the date that it started. You are unable to obtain credit once you are in an IVA unless you have the specific authority from your IP,so your credit file is a little irrelevent.
If you are cosidering a mortgage then there are many companies that will lend to people with adverse credit and an IVA.
Hope this helps

Hi Sam s
Welcome to the forum if you are concerned and want to see a copy of your credit report why not conact experian or another company that give credit reports,if you type experian into pc then it will give you a list of options they do charge a small fee for this service, but at least you will see exactley what information is held about you
Hope this helps.

Hi

You will definitely be 'Blacklisted', my IVA went through 3 weeks ago, I did a search on the Insolvency Service website last week and it was very easy to find my IVA details, it lists your name, address, date of IVA and the name of your IP.
My details are also on Experian, it's embarrassing in one respect, but at least I can hold my head up high and say, I have made mistakes but I am now facing up to them and doing the best I can to repay as much as possible back to my creditors.
The way I look at it now is, 'Debt Free In 5 Years' [:D][:D]

Hi,
I keep reading postings about people worried about their credit rating, lets face it, mine and nearly everyone here have hit rock bottom on their cr .I say so what! if my credit rating stays there forever I wouldn't mind at least it would prevent me ever getting into a mess again.

Northumbrian69, it’s always great to see positivity whilst still dealing with a debt problem. Your right you have made mistakes but the truth is that we all make mistakes.

Hope this information is of use

Allen.f is quite right here.

Sure, if you enter into an IVA, your credit rating will be effected. But this is no worse than if you had struggled on missing payments. The IVA is only recorded on your file for 6 years. If you had gone into a Debt Management Plan, your credit rating would remain effected until all of your debt had been paid off which could be many years.

On the subject of the CCJ, once you are in your IVA, your creditors can take no further action against you so no worries of CCJs once you are in your IVA.
