Hi all, not posted on here for a while, was lucky enough to have a holiday away courtesy of my parents but now unfortunately back to reality with a bang!
Just really wondering if any of you have dealt with Alliance and Leicester. They are one of my husbands creditors and have been truly awful to us! We have been presented today with a county court judgement from them which has bumped up our debt by £370 due to court fees.
We spoke with Alliance and leicester and the debt collection agency working on their behalf today to see what was going on and we were treat apallingly. We simply asked for a 2 week hold on their recovery action to allow them to receive their proposals to be told
"It's not going to happen, if you couldn't repay the money you should never have borrowed it, we will now push to have a charging order placed on your property before an IVA has the chance to be approved so we will eventually get the money back you owe us"
I was pretty speechless to be honest, so far although creditors have persistently chased us they have been relatively civil and understanding towards us, that is until today!
Anyway we spoke to Hywel (who I must say has been brilliant) He is working on our proposals alongside Melanie and he feels he can avoid a charging order being granted as we are very close to proposing. Fingers crossed this can be done.
Has anyone had similar experiences with them and how do they generally vote?
thanks for any responses
Andrea
