I am one year into an IVA. It is a sole arrangement. Would this arrangement be affected if I was to marry before the end of the IVA?

Hi Luke and welcome
I cant answer for sure and others will be along but It should not change anything unless you move in together if not already then they would reassess your outgoings eg if you earn the same as your wife then bills rent etc would be split 50-50. Depends a bit on that I think. Basically your wifes income is hers but she would be expected to share the bills.
Hope you understand as I say someone a bit better qualified will correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Luke - and does this mean congratulations are on the cards?

The only thing which might change is your living arrangements - ie are you living with your partner now, or are you going to move into a new home with her? If the latter, then your expenditure may need to be recalculated, as you will no doubt be paying a share of the bills in line with your earnings.

This does not mean that your partner will be affected in any other way as a result of your IVA.
