Hi I have received my signed proposal and confirmation that it has now gone out to all our creditors ?? will the phone calls and letters stop now !!
This has made we feel all very nervous, frightened, ashamed and scared !! Just wish it was all over now !!
My meeting has also been confirmed for the 27th December @ 12.30pm. Not a very nice time to have a creditors meeting, but hopefully it will bring a nice belated Christmas prezzie! And I can move on, get on with the rest of our life and watch our two daughters grow up, and look forward to being debt free in 5 years time !!
I hope some of you will be around for your support and any final questions around my meeting date.
Thank you all very much for all you help and support over the last couple of weeks.
Thanks
XX

Hi Caraf, don't be surprised if you still get phone calls - I did even when the proposal was sent out. This is because information takes a long time to filter down in the big organisations, not because there's a problem!

I will be around on the 27th - I will be at work, but none of my customers will be working so I won't have a lot to do so hopefully there will be a few people on the forum!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Hi caraf -

Based purely on my own experience - no - the phone calls wont stop BUT now you have a confirmed date for your Creditors Meeting I think once you have told your Creditors about that then most will leave you in peace. There is nothing more to tell them.

I have read many of your posts on the forum and it is clear how worried you are about acceptance of your proposal. I would just like to say that - with all my heart - I hope that your IVA is accepted.

I wish you 100% Good Luck and a successful Creditors Meeting.

Hi Caraf, I hope your creditors meeting goes well on the 27th, I won't be around that day as going to see my family for the day but will log on the next day and hopefully you will have posted us some good news. You take care and try and relax now as I'm sure your best proposal has been forwarded for your creditors. I know it's easier said than done and I may need some support in the next few weeks! x

Hi Caraf,

good luck getting the proposal agreed, and apols I won't be around on the 27th, but will croiss fingers for you in advance...

On phones call, Catallus just gave an interesting idea on another thread....suggested that when creditors call, tell them straight away that calls are being recorded because of harrassment..... hopefully they'll either ring off or just be very polite to you!!!

Worth a try...

Morning Caraf. I didn't get phone calls during this period so it seems everyone's experience is different.Good luck for the 27th.I'll be around.I think this waiting period and the 'what if' is the worst bit.really. All that fear of the unknown. Clear start have been very good for me, and it seems alot of other folk on here so we all can't be wrong? Cat 1

All the best for the 27th, like a few of the others, I won't be around either (my niece's 3rd birthday!) but hopefully it will all go well.

I would be interested to hear if you do get any calls, because I am approaching the same position as you (a couple of weeks behind you) - hopefully the calls will stop. Luckily for me, only one of my creditors has a current number for me, and that's a mobile number which I won't answer! The other two have old mobile numbers which I don't have any more.

Hopefully things will go well for you [:)]

Good luck for the 27th, I'm sure your IVA will be approved and you can enjoy a belated Xmas.
The letters and phone calls don't stop immediately but don't let that worry you, once you have your IVA they can't do a thing to you, some of these companies have so many different departments it takes ages for them all to get the message, just tell them your IVA has been approved, give the contact details for your IP then hang up.
Once again good luck, you have done all you can so try and relax, I hope your approved IVA is your best Xmas present.
