Hi all
My apologies, no excuse for not being around lately other than I had a bit of a BR meltdown, its been a long year! And I for one will be glad to see 2008 in.
However tis the Saturday before Christmas and I have had a letter from the OR's office informing me that an IP has been appointed Trustee of my BR Estate. Its been very quiet lately so this has come a bit out of the blue as I was led to believe mine would be handled in house. Is this normal after 4 and a half months? Came as a bit of a surprise.
I still havent heard anything about the house, and was wondering whether things will change about my other assets that the OR has excluded from the estate already i.e. the car? Or is this purely due to the property?
Dont want to sit here all over Christmas worrying about possibly nothing.
Hope everyone is ok, and wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year.

Hi Pippa, I was thinking about you the other day! I hope you're ok, and that you get your house sorted out soon.
It seems to me that all OR's offices send letters so they are delivered on a Saturday, and it really doesn't seem fair as you have to stew for the rest of the weekend - I've spent a few weekends crying and worrying over letters from the OR.
Good luck Pippa, and I hope that 2008 is better than 2007 for all of us x

Thanks Skippy13
Totally agree about the letters always arriving on a Saturday!
I am sure its nothing more than due to the size of the equity in the property. And am not sure but think it has been passed to Grant Thornton as they represent Northern Rock, my biggest creditor, might be wrong though.
But still the OR led me to believe it would be kept in house.
Nothing is straight forward is it?
Will be a lot happier when everything is finalised especially the house.
Hope all is going well for you now. And congratulations on the BLOG.
Thanks for all your support Skippy it really has been appreciated. Have a wonderful christmas , and heres to a fruit and nut free New Year

Dave's mum has bought me a few bars of Green and Blacks for Christmas so I'm counting down the days!
Like you say I'm sure it is to do with the amount of equity, but it's still bad timing.
Have a lovely Christmas and New Year x

Hi
I have tried to contact the OR this morning, however appears the office is closed. Does anyone know how long they are closed over the Christmas period?

There should be a skeleton staff working from 27 Dec onwards, but a lot of the staff do take leave right over the period, so you might be better waiting until 2 Jan 08.
