I've done a search on the site and can't find this information. I was wondering if there's a list showing the different credit companies/banks which are in the same groups.

Wanted to see which of my creditors might be linked for voting and also which bank to try for a new account and wouldn't be closed at the start of an IVA

I don't think there is a definitive list on this site or our own site, but if you list your creditors I'll do my best to let you know of any relationships they have with other banks.

I'm looking to see if I'm going to have any problems with any of these grouping together to vote. Also revisiting my choice of bank account to open which may let me keep a debit card after the IVA starts.

Lloyds Loan and 2 credit cards
Cahoot flexible loan and credit card
IF Loan
Sainsbury's Loan and credit card

Is that too few creditors for an IVA?? The value is around £75k of debt and probably will be offering around 50p in the £

Hi Alan,

I've opened an account with the co-operative bank and I have a visa debit card.

From this site I also believe that Nationwide are a good one to try and also Think banking (think there is a monthly fee on this one). HSBC and First Direct are the ones to avoid.

I think 3 creditors is the minimum, but I'd get an experts opinion on that!

Good luck

I also got an account with Halifax Easy cash as well.

For Mastercard get in touch with Cashplus Mastercard. it costs £4.95 but is good value because you can use it anywhere.

Good Luck

I looked hard at Halifax, but I believe that Sainsbury's Bank and Halifax are both part of HBOS.

So I wouldn't expect any account at Halifax to remain open.

Hi If you go on the payplan website and click on site mape It brings up loads of different titles,Look for the one that says Linked Banks and creditors. Hopefully this will give you an Idea who is linked to who.

Thanks for that link Phil, very useful.

Looks like 50% of my debt is with one group then if Sainsbury's and IF have links. Anyone like to comment how receptive they might be to an offer of 50p/£.
