Hi catherine and welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your recent troubles and the fact that you have been left carrying debts you can no longer afford to repay.
If you have disposable income to offer to your creditors on an ongoing basis, you could consider entering into a Debt Management Programme or proposing an IVA. But if you are left with no, or little, disposable income after taking account of your normal household and personal expenses, then bankruptcy might be a better option for you.

Hi
I have got a question about similar situation. Is it any possibility to get some money back from previous partner when I repay our debts taken before relationship was broken. I know there is not a IVA issue but maybe someone know something about it and can help us.
Thanks

Hi marcino
That would be a civil matter between you and your former partner, and you would have to demonstrate to a Court that there was a contract between you with the intention of him/her eventually paying you back.
Or you could ask them nicely for a contribution?
