I AM INTERNATIONAL STUDENT HERE IN LONDON, IF I WILL GO FOR IVA, WILL I WILL BE ABLE TO GET INDEFINITE LEAVE TO REMAIN IN UK OR NOT? WILL MY IVA AFFECT GETTING INDEFINITE STATUS OF REMAIN OR BRITISH NATIONALITY?

I assume that you are on a visa? If this is the case, when considering whether or not to renew your visa the immigration authorities will look at your ability to support yourself financially. I understand that they consider entering into an IVA to be evidence that you are unable to support yourself financially, giving them grounds not to renew your visa.

The immigration authorities are getting much tougher on their policy with regard to financial support, but as an IVA shows a responsible attitude towards debt repayment, based upon an affordable sum after allowing for living costs, I do not see how you would be demonstrating an inability to support yourself. After all the IVA is based upon you being left with enought money to actually support yourself, with the remainder being accepted in debt repayments.

I am in no way an expert on the workings of the Home Office, so it would be best if you checked with them directly or any specialist immigration lawyer.
