Can I have a note of initial interest for the above event which Andy and I will be arranging together this week. We do not yet have a confirmed venue, but I am looking at either the Copthorne or the Quality hotel depending on the availabilty of a bar and buffet. If anyone knows of any other places in that area worth checking out, I would love to hear from you.

Hi Melanie, Dave and I will be there - we're looking forward to it!
I don't know if it's any help but there is also a Premier Inn in Slough.

I'll try that as well Skip. Are you home yet and how are the colds doing?

We're still in Lyme Regis and we've still got the colds! To top it off we were woken up by a group effing and blinding outside the bedroom window in the early hours of Saturday, and not long after that the police arrived to move them on! Oh well, I suppose it's character building!

That's shame Debbie - but you did tell me in Bradford that you might not be able to make it. A wedding sounds far more fun, and an excuse for a new frock as well!

I already have the new frock Melanie! I am now trying to lose a few pounds so that it looks better on me! Not helped by just being brought in a big dish of chocolate ice-cream ... which I am eating based on the excuse that I haven't felt too well this weekend and so it is comfort food.[:)]
