Andy - thank you.

There are two debt team members interested in attending, however the problem is nobody wishes to drive and miss out on the "free" drinks.

A number of our Debt Team have "frequented" the Britannia Hotel in Manchester before (a couple of years ago) we will tell you about it if we attend, should bring a smile to both yours and Melanie's faces.

We will let you know nearer the event if we are attending for certain. It would be nice to meet you all.

Hi Melanie, there is already a clue in our previous post. Concentrate on the word "free".

Have you got it yet?

I think I know what you mean - but will look out for your collegues on the night to confirm! Look forward to catching up with you all, and having a good old natter. It seems as if it is going to be a very well attended event.

This might be an obvious Q, excuse me I'm new *smile*. But what is this meet all about. Just general putting names to faces, exchanging stories about stupid finance houses, sharing experiences, etc?

Regards,

Bru

Hi Bru and welcome.
I went to the birmingham meeting and really enjoyed it. Just as you say nice to put faces to names and have a casual chat about how things are going, opinions, and as Andy said in his blog, Dave the bear offered lots of info on glasses and contact lenses. A nice general chit chat over a few drinks.

Bru ... it's a great, friendly and informative evening largely of people who are in the same boat as ourselves and some of our wonderful 'experts' ... so do try and get along if you can [:)]

I really wanted to meet up with you all in Manchester but the air fare really didn't tally with the ethos of "Frugal Friends" ... so I look forward to the forthcoming Birmingham and London meetings.

Is there a date for the Birmingham meeting?

I think it would be a good idea ... and a great laugh at the irony of it ... if we all carried a copy of The Financial Times so that we know who we are ... bit like the equivalent of the red rose!! [:D]
