Hi Craigthechapel and welcome to the forum. If you are bankrupt or in an IVA your details can be viewed on the Insolvency Register -
www.insolvency.gov.uk.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

I'm not sure actually. I think BR ones stay on there for 3 months showing discharged, but I'm not sure about IVAs.

Hi, it will remain on the register for as long as your IVA is active.

If i remember rightly from past posts, it will stay on your credit file for 6 years from the day the IVA starts. However, if your IVA is completed, i believe it is then removed very quickly from the insolvency register.
I'm sure somebody will correct me if i am wrong.

Does that mean if you are lucky to get money to pay off the debts in full during an IVA that it will be removed from the register?

Yes if the IVA is completed in a satisfactory manner it is then removed from the insolvency register.

I believe it is only removed from the Register on submission of a report pursuant, and referring specifically, to Rule 5.34(3) of The Insolvency Rules 1986. That report must come from the Supervisor.
The Insolvency Service will not remove it from the register unless in receipt of the above
(Dear IP Chapter 24)
With regards to your credit file. The IVA is marked on there at the date of approval and remains on the file for a period of 6 years from that date. If the IVA is concluded satisfactorily and you can provide evidence to that effect from the Supervisor, you can apply write to the credit reference agency with a request to have the IVA marked as satisfied. (That also applies in the cases where IVA's are concluded early)
Tell it like it is.
