hello.. i recently just finished a construction job in France which i was paid on a daily rate.. i haven't been paid for some time now and with expenses its run up to £14000. my employer is a wealthy businessmen from London and now chooses not to answer my calls or reply to my emails. is there anything i could do ? is it possible to declare him bankrupt ?

You will firstly need to establish whether there is a rightful debt payable. If this customer is disputing the debt, then you will need to get a judgement against him before you can serve a statutory demand and then proceed with bankruptcy.

Following on from Melanie, you can make a claim on Online by using the Court's on line service. Just put Court service in your search engine and you will find the link and go on from there!
It takes about an hour to complete the claim but does the job well!
