If you are applying to an IVA can debts owed to a local authority (rent arrears & council tax arrears) be included as part of your total debt?

Hi
Yes to council tax arrears,but I believe that rent arrears are excluded as the relationship with your landlord may suffer.Your IP will normally allow a repayment plan for the arrears outside of your IVA.
