we both need cars to travel to work from our home. would having an iva mean we had to get rid of them? We live in a rural location with very limited bus service. We rent a house could we be made to down size? property in this area is hard to find and currently is 10 mile in one dirction from my work and 15 to my husbands in the opppostie direction.

Hi Sian, and welcome to the forum.

It is unlikely that you would lose your cars if you entered into an IVA unless they were of a high value. What are the values of the cars that you and your husband have?

I think that it is unlikely that you would have to downsize where you live unless your currently place is very costly.

Kind regards,
Terry Balfour

Make sure that your chosen IP puts up a good reason for you keeping the cars, which from your circumstances seems more than reasonable.
