Had the telephone conversation - nearly 2 hours!! And not too bad. The OR was very pleasant, she went through everything with me and explained what would happen in BR. Clark Willmot?? will be dealing with my IPA which in effect is going to be £254 per month for 3 years. This should start at the end of this month. There was no mention of a valuation of the property - she has allowed me £800 per month to fund rented accommodation, £350 for food, housekeeping and pet food, pet insurance, upped my clothing allowance, allowed £96 per year for holidays, hairdressing, drycleaning, prescriptions etc. They will be looking for a Nil Tax Code which means that an average of £1100 will be paid to the OR as well or whatever my tax is for the month.

She did say that should my circumstances change, the IPA would change as it is not cast in stone as an IVA is.

At the end of the 3 years I will in effect have paid £9144 to my creditors (excl tax).

She will be sending a pack out to me with all the details and as soon as I get that I will post just exactly what was allowed and not allowed.

Thank you - to answer your question truthfully, I was not quite sure what to expect. From other posters on here, I was forewarned that loads of questions would be asked regarding loans etc - it was the dates that really got to me!! Admittedly, I was shaking like a leaf and when she called she asked me how I was and I told her and she just laughed and apologised and explained she had to do this. All in all, I expected a grilling, got one but not half as bad as I thought.

Hi Sue, I'm glad it went well and that you've now got this big over and done with. Are your allowances better than you were expecting?

Clarke Willmott are a firm of solicitors who collect the money for your IPA - everyone I have spoken to there has been lovely! They misallocated one of my payments and wrote saying I hadn't paid it. When I rang them they apologised for causing me distress and no, they didn't need any proof of payment at the moment, they would search for it. If you have to speak to them you will be fine.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

If truth be told, I cannot remember what she allowed and what she didn't!!!!!!!! All I know is that I have a banging headache!!!

All my outgoings that I put down in the BR petition were allowed and she upped a few. There were a few items I had missed off, and she reminded me of these and put those in as well. I did burst into tears at one point when she asked if there was any other expenses I had that I had not included, and all I could splutter out is that I really wanted to go "back home" to see my Mum. She then said that unfortunately the holiday allowance of £96 per year will not pay the flight ticket but she is leaving me with sufficient to save a little extra every month.

You poor thing, I was thinking of you this morning, I would have been scared and shaking also. So glad its all over for you. I hope the IPA is a better payment than the iVA was. It really isnt easy to take it all in when youre in such a state. I was going BR in Jan and this was the bit I dreaded the most. I just thought, I would never be able to get through it without crying.

Tonight, you must chill out and think nice thoughts, have a bottle of something and put it all behind you. Its been a long and painful road, you really deserve some sunshine in your life now.

Glad its over for you.Well not over but you know what i mean,hopefully thats the worst part for you.
I know its hard to imagine how you feel right now not having gone BR myself,but at least now you can start to sort things out in yuor head and look forward.
I really do hope life will improve and you can move on to some kind of normality and peace of mind.

IVA payments of £600 per month and an equity release of £22,500. So much better off. Although I am going to lose my house, which is just bricks and mortar...... I am rather glad that I am moving on from here as there are just too many memories and heartache in it.

Well done Sue!!! Glad your OR was one of the good ones!!! My OR interview was a bit of a blur as well - so my only piece of advice would be to check and double check your I&E, and if any increase then phone the OR and get it altered. But i'm sure you must feel so relieved and hopefully you'll be able to now save to go and see your mum. Best wishes Sue.
