Hiya sorry didnt know where to put this post...
Been for ADOS screening today and he did indeed fall just within the autistic bracket. Results and various different reports will now be combined to decide on a diagnosis..

Once again sorry guys if i have put this in the wrong place.

Well I hope that is what you wanted, if you get these reports then you will be able to get the correct education for him. I believe youre not having too many problems in that area though, right?? In my area Autism was not often diagnosed and it was difficult as they are so different and unique. I started a group called SPEAK (support for parents for the education of autistic kids). All of the teachers had to undergo an ace qualification so kids like ours were better understood.

Good luck in everything you are doing for him, I was thinking of you today.

Thanks lily, all reports are in from various different proffessionals so hopefully wont be too long. School is brilliant and he already has 1 to 1 for 5 hours a day so no complaints there.
Will let you know either way with regards to final diagnosis (however long it takes)

Its a life of appointments with some wondering in between, it can seem endless, I remember it well, although my youngest son was picked up by the child development centre at the age of two. Lets hope its not dragged out too long, I was sooo relieved to get a diagnosis for mine, I was just desperate to know.

Wishing for the best for you and him, they are lovely kids though, I wouldnt swap my experience for the world, so funny sometimes. My middle son is quite tall and I once said, hmmm will have to turn those trousers down. He took them off and put them up to his ear, are they too loud mommy? priceless.

my son for along time wasn't helped untill we got a social worker for him- he has ducheene muscular dystrophy with speach and language problems.
she has helped loads. try a charity called amaze no end of advice and also they book a cinema just for kiddies just like ours.
