I woke up to a letter from the OR this morning - telling me they hadn't received my September payment and asking me to ring them to discuss why I haven't made the payment. The payment left my account on 1st October (30th September was Sunday) and the letter was dated 2nd October!
It also refers to an IPOQ that they agreed that I could return after I move (it was for a pay rise, sadly not ED!). I actually decided to return it with a covering letter in case it got forgotten about when I move, but they are talking about me returning it so it sounds as though they have lost it!
I'm really fed up with this - I had a letter after my first payment saying I hadn't paid it. When I got the letter I sat down and had a good cry. I'm going to ring Clarke Willmott and the OR on Monday and try an sort it out but I don't know what to do to stop this - I can't take another 32 months of worrying like this.

Poor you Skippy.I think a stern word on Monday should clear this up.Fancy sending a letter out one day after payments due,it takes at least three days to arrive.
It's amazing how letters like this always arrive on a Saturday when you can,t phone anyone to get it sorted until Monday and it just plays on your mind all weekend.
You,ll get there Skippy, despite all the problems

Thanks Andy. I just feel a bit fed up at the moment - I only received the IPOQ because I phoned Clarke Willmott to confirm whether I should have also told the OR as well as them about my pay rise - they realised that they had forgotten to inform the OR, even though it was their job!
Every letter I have received has come at the weekend - I think they do it on purpose!
It just seems to me that if you try and do the right thing you get it thrown back at you. Sorry to whinge - I know there are a lot of people out there with far more to worry about.
A very disillusioned Skippy x

Isn’t it annoying (getting these letters) when you will not be able to sort it out until after the weekend.
I always get invoices where I want to dispute their figures on a weekend… Moan about it for hours on a Saturday, then usually work commitments mean I forget about it on Monday, then remember by the next Friday about 5pm JUST as their office closes for the weekend. Most frustrating..

Sorry you are having a bad day skippy, shame that postal strike didn't delay it.
To be honest with you mate for some reason it must be somthing in the air.
Ive been paying my creditors same day every month and all seemed fine then thursday night at 8.55 i get one of them phone calls saying somebody from natwest bank has tryed to contact you,i immedietly rang them back and was told that they were closed til the next day,so i dont sleep worrying why they are calling when ive paid the same time every month so why are they calling.
I rang ist thing friday morning and was told that they wanted a new i&e filled in as they want more money i explained that at the moment that wasn't possible and ive had to cut my hours at work so they are lucky to be getting the amount i'm paying they were very nice and said once i had filled a new form in then they would let me know what there desicion would be.
Then at 3 o clock the phone goes again and its NW again i go through it all again and they apoligise.
So at 9 o clock this morning the phone rings again and yep its NW again with the same conversation when i tell them that twice already ive had this conversation they ask why havnt you already sent the form back,i said well apparently you were sending it,and with it only being yesterday that they were putting it in the post its hardly likely that i will get it til next week.
The mind boggles i'm sure the right hand doesnt know what the left ones doing.
So don't stress to much its not only you thats fed up at the moment.
Hows the house move coming on hopefully soon you will be in a nice new home and who knows maybe you might get ED.
I really do hope you can get this sorted out with Willmot clarke as it is so stressfull when you are doing everything in your power to bide by the rules, and carry on with every day life, things like this get you down,so chin up have a nice glass of wine later and try and relax,i know thats what i'l be doing.

Hi Skippy
I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry about it. There's nothing that can be done till monday.
Can I ask what an IPOQ is? I havn't come across that term before!

Hi Tracy, sorry to hear you are being hassled - they must all be after more money! I hope you get it sorted out with Natwest.
Hmmm, the house move - not helping my stress levels! Dave was told that everyone was ready to exchange contracts last Monday to move this week coming. Then our buyer's solicitor suddenly announced that sorry, they couldn't exchange as they hadn't had the local searches done! Absolutely useless! It turns out that the original solicitor had left the company and the file had just been left - I must remember that next time someone is on holiday from work - "I'm sorry, I don't care that BMW and Fiat are on line stop, so and so is out of the office for a fortnight and no-one else can do her work!"
Pixie, an IPOQ is an Income Payments Order Questionnaire.

I would write and send it recorded, I know there is a postal strike here at the moment, we have been told not to put things in the post til wednesday, dont know if its national.
I would ask them to reply also, to explain why they are putting you through this, when you have and can prove the payments have gone out.
Tell them that BR might be an everyday thing to them, it isnt to you. There are plenty of them and all have them have or should be practised enough to get this sort of thing correct, and while you appreciate that sometimes things do go wrong, there is only one of you suffering from these mistakes and that person is you!!!!
Tell them exactly what has happened, with the new I and E for the pay rise, what you have been told and that its suggested in the letter this is no longer the case. Ask them to put everything in writing as they obviously do not seem to remember what they have said, leaving you confused and alone. This is a once in a lifetime thing for you and youre confused and scared, tell them you cant take another 32 months of this and where should you go to get the correct, definitive answer?? Make a bloody complaint, I would. They are drawing a salary for dealing with your case, surely they can do it without added to the stress you have already gone through.
Now go and put down some bullet points and write your wrath, you will feel better for it, I am sure, then make yourself a nice coffee or tea and have a couple of squares of chocolate.
Love

Thanks Lily. I've got all my info together and I will give them a call on Monday and then follow up with a letter sent by Recorded Delivery.
Dave has had a thought about this - the letters have come when the 30th of the month lands on a weekend. I don't know if it has any bearing on it, but it seems daft if they don't make allowances for that.
I had the chocolate earlier and a Krispy Kreme doughnut, and Dave is cooking me fishfingers, chips and peas for dinner - real comfort food! I'm opening the Smirnoff Ice in a minute as well - and joining Weightwatchers on Monday to get rid of all this!

It seesm to me that if you want to be sure that somethign is delivered by the postal system nowadays you have to send it recorded delivery ... and the extra cost that entails [:(]
We haven't had any post since Thursday down here.

Sadly I'm comfort eating! Mind you, when we actually move I should burn some calories off!
I suppose it could be worse - Man Utd won, the England rugby team won and if Lewis Hamilton wins the world championship tomorrow I will count it as a very good weekend!

Hi Skippy
Strangely enough I had the second of two letters from the OR waiting for me on Thursday stating I had not returned certain paperwork /letters back as requested???? Everything I send is by recorded delivery. On recipt of the first letter I called my OR and he advised the letter was a mistake, on receipt of the second I sent a polite but firm email, as i was stressing out.
I had a response the following day to apologise for the internal error, and to confirm that all paper work had been received.
Cant say I was too pleased though, was back on the fruit and nut! but to be fair other than this hiccup they have been very professional. Although in your case a bit quick off the mark with the IPA not being paid? I assume the 30th is the usual payment date.
Hopefully it will all be a mistake and you will clear it up with a quick phone call Monday.
Take care
Pippa

Thanks Pippa - glad you got yours sorted out. I feel that they don't seem to realise how it affects people - it might be an everyday occurence to them but to the rest of us it's a life changing experience. I stupidly didn't send my letters by recorded delivery but from now on everything will be RD!
