All,

I was last on here sometime ago enquiring about what potentially I could do in order to pay of my debt.

I had been on a DMP for 2 years and my largest creditors (47% of debt) refused to accept the lower repayment I had been offering.

The good news is that I have signed my IVA proposal and my creditors meeting is scheduled to take place in 2 weeks or so time.

I am offering 49p in the pound which includes a remortgage in year 4 of the IVA.

Obviously I am concerned it might be rejected but I am pleased that I have made a positive decision to deal with these debts.

If I continued on my DMP it would take around 14 years to pay off this debt at my current payment.

thanks

hi there,

I think some creditors would rather that indivuals attempt a DMP first before going through an IVA. Your offer seems to be a good one so all the best with your creditors meeting.
