Hi everyone, well, I am now officially bankrupt. As everyone here said, the court staff were very nice, and the judge only asked if I had taken advice - that was it. OR called yesterday afternoon, to ask whether I own a car or house - I don't - and said he will be in touch today or tomorrow to arrange either a telephone or face to face meeting. He said we will probably be able to do it over the telephone though [:)]. Yesterday was very emotional, and I cried several times to be honest [:(]. However, today I feel quite relieved. Worrying about the OR interview, and whether I will get an IPO or BRO, but I guess that's beyond my control now - will just have to wait and see. I must thank everyone here who has helped and provided support - I tell you, I couldn't have coped without you all! Thank you all so much[:D]. I will keep you all updated, as to when my OR interview will be! D.

I glad you're ok Douglass - it is scary stuff but you're now free of your debts and can move on with your life.
Whether or not you get an IPA/O depends on how much surplus you have - the general rule is you need £100 or more for the OR to implement an IPA/O. Regarding a BRO/U, I can't say whether that is likely - it is something that worries me, but the way I'm trying to look at it is that it won't actually affect me that much. It won't affect my job and I don't want credit anyway! Whatever happens it's not as bad as worrying where the next penny is coming from.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Well done douglass, there is life after BR. Don't worry about the meeting with your Trustee. Mine was the local Official Receiver. One very pleasanr meeting and three years later I rang her to ask for my Discharge Certificate. Nobody read the notice in the local newspaper either. If you feel fed up at anytime and down, give me a call.

Thank you all so much - I am really touched by your kindness. I have heard this afternoon from the OR. My interview will be on 22nd October - and it's face to face! Why do some people get a telephone interview and some people are requested to attend a face to face interview? He said that he will send some forms out and I need to read them carefully, and a letter will explain what I need to take with me - he said it will be mainly be statements etc from the last few years etc. I am petrified now! D.
