Hi
I know that it is normal practice to appoint a trustee to deal with assets, such as your home,I'm sure Melanie or Catullus will have some feedback for you.
Good luck

The Official Receiver generally invites a private sector insolvency practitioner to act in a case where there are assets of more than £10,000, although this can vary from office to office and I think in Catallus' area the figure is more likely £20,000.

Tait Walker are an excellent firm of insolvency practitioners, and represent Northern Rock in a lot of creditor voting. It is possible that you have a large Northern Rock debt which has led to this appointment, or alternatively you may live in the Newcastle area and Tait Walker are simply the next firm on this list.

And before everyone groans about Northern Rock again - this firm are just acting under instructioms when representing their client, and I have direct personal experience of negotiating with experienced and professional members of this firm's staff.

Thanks Melanie
The OR appointed them as my Trustee and yes NR have about 45% of my debt .

I phoned them this afternoon and the lass I spoke to seemed nice.

I had a brief discussion about my house - £20k equity - my being a single dad and the housing situation in this area .

That's good news that you have already made contact with them. And from your previous posts I know that you have resigned yourself to seeing the house sold, so I am sure Tait Walker will treat you with dignity and compassion during this difficult process.

Thanks Melanie
I thought it only polite that I contact them..
I forgot to mention they will want me to make payment to them instead of Clarke Wilmot to save costs.. they'll send me details in due course.

Thanks Debbie - I have missed all of my "forum friends" whilst soaking up the sun and relaxing. It is now time to get back into the fold, and there are some very interesting threads at the moment.
