Hi all
Well finally after going into the branch yesterday, swearing at the woman on the phone after she told me again I couldn't have my money, I launched an official complaint with the FSA (who by the way told me that A&L were behaving illegally) got my money back hurrah! It was a complete farce, in the end the cashier put me through to a manager at the BR division at A&L who told me that there was never any problem with me getting my money as the OR had ok'd it. Which means that since Friday his staff have been telling me porkies and I could have had it on friday instead of stressing out living on 15 quid through the weekend and not being able to pay my child's nursery fees on Monday. I said to teh manager about how he has obvious training issues, in the fact that 8 different people all told me different things and he agreed but said you have to let the cashier cut your card up in front of you. Whatever. I got my money and skipped out of there. Now posting back my Think banking application.

I know you would think it these times that BR is not such a issue or rather what to do with someone that is should be! I am hoping that the FSA formal complaint will at least cause them some grief - just cannot beleive that I could have actually had my money on Friday ... never mind a lesson learnt eh

Good News that you got it sorted in the end.

I think they should hang there heads in shame at the horrible way they treated you!!!
Why should yu have had to beg for your own money and spend all weekend worrying about it.

A word of warning to others to stear clear of A&L....

I'm glad you finally got it sorted out Fudge, and good luck with your complaint - the way they treated you is disgusting.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

To be honest i think they have treated you with out any respect whatsoever,i mean why does the cashier have to cut your card up in front of you surely that would just draw attention from other customers as if you havn't been through enough.
As Andy said make sure you get an apology
