Just wanted to know the forums thoughts on whether it is acceptable to allow the cost of childrens clubs in thier expenditure list?
We are in to our second year of our IVA (YIPPPEEE) and in the first year I was very tight with our expenditure list only living as needed. At our years review I had learnt through living then past year on a budget and also fromreading threads on here that I had not allowed for several things such as eye tests and glasses, dentist fees and for my childrens clubs.
I don't feel i can hold my children back but do feel a bit cheeky to write these down on my expenditure list.
What do you think?[;)]

We have had IVAS accepted where there has been a budget allowance for Children's clubs. This will obviously be dependant on the costs involved though and your creditors agreement to accept these.
It may be harder for you to have these included in your current IVA. Have you had any increases in pay over this period. You could talk to your IP about offseting these extra costs against these increases.
If you haven't had any increase in income you could ask your IP to include these extra costs but they would have to put this proposal to your creditors.
Best Regards

Children should not suffer unduly if their parents are subject to insolvence proceedings, but you will not be allowed to reduce your IVA payments at this stage to take these into account. If your income is now sufficient to sustain such costs, I would allow them if I were your IP, so long as the costs were reasonable.

Thanks for your info and advise, at present and throughout the last year of my IVA I purely cut back in some areas (food mainly) to pay for these clubs.
I would never look at reducing my IVA payments as i would not class this as a priority to survive. I would just juggle around a bit so my children would not go without.
My husband gets a pay rise every Oct and although its not huge this helps, last year it was swallowed up by our mortgage interest rates.
My expenditure list was quite tight and was just wondering if anyone had made allowances on their IVA to cover these clubs.
Afterall Covering pets is acceptable.
Thanks again
