Hi everyone, firstly thank you all for your kindness and support - it's been a real help to me.[:o)]
Well, I had my OR meeting yesterday. The examiner was a very humane guy, who listened carefully, didn't judge me, and didn't treat me like a piece of dirt. I won't say it was easy, and it was very emotional, but I am through it now.
The examiner said that I should know within a month what my IPA will be, and he said that as much of my debt was incurred last year, a BRO may be possible, although he will take into account my mitigating circumstances. He said that he understood how my bereavements had influenced my spending. He also said that it may not be in the "public interest" to issue me with a BRO, bearing in mind I could lose my job over it - then my creditors would be unlikely to receive very much at all, which doesen't help anyone. Again, thanks for all the advice guys - really appreciated. D.

Thanks Kerri - yes, another step done. And already bankrupt for 2 weeks, so if I don't get a BRO, only 50 weeks to go (trying to be optimistic here!). D.

You must be so glad that the meeting is out the way, you must have been so nervous beforehand. I am pleased that you had an understanding examiner, it must make it a bit easier.
Hope it all works out for the best for you

Thank you all so much! I am relieved that the interview is over, although if they want to give me a BRO I may have to have a further interview. I will feel better once I know what my IPA will be, and whether I will be getting a BRO. Fingers crossed, eh! Thanks again guys. D.
