Notice this section has not been posted on since 31st July 2011, was wondering if any new mortgage lenders had come to market.

Last time I questioned this things in the market place was tight but was rumoured new lenders were coming to market.

I completed the 6yrs as of August this year (paid off after 1yr) but don't want to be wasting my credit checks if I am to be refused?

Be interesting to see how open the market becomes but cant see any changes to the availability of sub prime mortgages for a few years yet. Lot of firms with burnt fingers who wont want the risk.

Hi luluj, would be interested to know who your broker is but can't find a PM function to contact you.
Don't know if I'm allowed to post up my email address on here (don't want to break the rules). So how do we go about sharing this information?

Ot of interest what is the difference between an 'all market broker' and a standard broker?

I will email your details to luluj when I get home from work dakine. You"re not allowed to post them in here. It's only so that you don't get inundated with spam.

Still awaiting RBS to get there act into gear and remove an item that was never marked as default in the first place. Up until then I cannot do anything.
Before even putting my house on the market would i be well advised to apply for a mortgage 'in principle' to ensure I can get the borrowed amount i require? Then put the house on the market, or is there a better way of doing things??

I would certainly have a chat with a broker to see if it is likely to avoid building up hopes and generating extra paperwork and anxiety for yourself - moving is a stressful time and if a mortgage is not likely I wouldn't put yourself through it.

Have you spoken to my broker via the details I sent you ?

Not yet, didn't think there was much point until this item from RBS was removed which should be by the end of this week.
I will call him if that is what you recommend. Thanks Lulu
