Hi,
This is my first post on this site and looking at the postings it is very good.
My IVA should finish in 13 months and part of my agreement is I have to remorguage at the end.
It has been hard but it has also been the best step I could have made.
My big concern is who is likely to give me a remorguage at the end?
Also my car is on its last legs and I know I stand no chance of finance even if it does last another 18 months which I don't think it will.
Appart from that a big HELLO to you all and I hope your circumstances are working out well.

Hiya and welcome. Do you know if your IVA will run on a year if you are unable to get a remortgage?? Often an equity release is done in year 4 of an IVA.

And a big welcome from me too, [:D]

Cannot offer any advice as a newbie to the forum and still going through the process but there are plenty of lovely, helpful people on this forum who will be able to advise. Well done though on getting this far with your IVA, keep posting.

xx

With regard to the mortgage - there are companies who will lend to people in IVAs, however a lot would depend upon the level of loan to value you will require to borrow.

It might be sensible at this juncture to have a chat with someone like Andrew Graveson of Brightoak, who is a mortgage broker specialising in the sub-prime market. He will be able to tell you what possibilities there are at the moment.
