Sorry for another thread on BT although this one is slightly different.
I changed my BT landline number due to excessive phone calls from creditors. One of whom was phoning over 100 times a week. I was averaging about 150 calls a week including all my creditors. At first I answered the calls and then realised I was talking to a robot who didn't really care what I had to say.
I phoned BT who were very good about it, they gave me a new number and made it ex-direcrory. I registered with the TPS again and all was good for a week. Then the phone calls started up again. Now they are nowhere near the same frequency, probably about 10 a day, but how do they get my number?
BT promised I would not be hassled again when I changed my number, yet four of my creditors have managed to get my new number. Have they access to this information? I am just very puzzled by it all. If this continues I will just cancel my BT contract.
