Hi There,
I'm with the Co-op and have a basic cashminder account. It was easy to set up and six months in I'm not experiencing any problems. You can use link cash machines and also deposit and wirthdraw money at a post office. I also have a pre-paid credit card with BREAD = there are lots of these cards available just google pre-paid credit cards.
I hope that helps,
Chardonnay

I've also got a Co-op Cashminder and it's brilliant as you get internet banking and a Visa Electron card.
I've got a Tuxedo prepaid Maestro that I use to pay for my petrol, and for when my Electron isn't accepted, which doesn't happen very often now.

I think an electron card is pretty good these days. I think you can use them anywhere in the UK, but I dont think you can use them online can you?

Visa electron works with most online websites, I've been with the coop for just over a year and only found 1 or 2 places that didn't except it but that was then, not found one lately!

The co-op card should be taken pretty much anywhere you see the visa sign. I had no trouble using mine over in America on my hols, and I have had no trouble at all using it online when the need has arisen. I wouldn't have thought that businesses these days are so well off that they can afford to alienate and potentially lose business from a very large market indeed.
Regards.
