Hey frances, I think the guidelines have been updated but they are just guidelines, your IP won't automatically increase a particular allowance because of them. I don't think so anyway. X

Doesn't sound right to me - your allowances should be based on what you need to spend, not what the allowances are under CCCS.
If your clothing has gone from £60 to £160 per month - wow!!!!! Likewise your food/household allowance seems high - how many are you feeding on this ????

I would speak with your IP for confirmation with these increases before you get used to having the additional allowances - you wouldn't want to overspend when in fact there is an error!

thanks for that viki i filled in my I&E early before personel tax allowance went up,i rang them and explained and said they would send a new one,it is totally different to the old one. So i rang my ip and asked if clothing or any other allowances had gone up for 2 adults and 2 children i thought £60 a month ridiculous she said it was now £80 for 2 adults and £40 per child. She also said i could claim £25 for dentist/optical and prescription which i never knew about have tried to look for the guidlines they use but to no avail i think it must be restricted to ip's

My household is around £500, but I have two very young children to buy nappies, wipes and lactose free formula for - that takes up a huge chunk!
£160 a month for clothing - wow!!!!
