I live with my mother and I am finding it impossible to save money. She is always asking for money knowing too well the situation I am in. I pay rent, council tax and buy my own shopping. Yet she is just making my life unbearable with her demands, I want to move and have looked at private rental which is extremely expensive, forget a council flat as I do not have any children. Sometimes I just feel to jump in front of a train and will not have to worry about being in debt, living with an ungrateful parent or just feeling like crap everyday...

Hi ldx and welcome to the forum.

Please don't do anything stupid, as I am sure there is a solution out there somewhere.

In order for us to advise you on your options, could you possibly post a little more about your debts and income?

Hi

I know youre feeling well and trully down right now, is there anyway you can communicate this to your Mother so she would have to listen? Could you write to her, telling her just how bad youre feeling right now? I am sure she would not be wanting you thinking you would be better off dead, she just may not know how much this is getting to you. What options have you taken regarding the debt?

Is there anyone else you could talk to? Have you spoken to your doctor about just how unbearable living is right now??

Hey ldx, welcome to the forum. As everyone else has said, you really need to talk to your mother about this. She may not have any idea that she's stressing you out so much. Debts can be sorted out in a number of ways but you and your wellbeing are more important. Post as many details as you want on here, we're all here for you. X

Hi Idx,
Welcome form me too. Most of us have been where you are now - desperate and lost in a world you don't like!! There is a light at the end of your tunnel, you just have to be brave and meet this challenge head on.
Try to talk to your mum, I'm sure she'll be horrified at how low you are feeling. The experts on here can help you find the right debt solution for you, if you give them the details. This site is vconfidential, we don't know your name or any other details so don't be scared. We will all be here for you to help support and advise you through the first stages of finding your path to being debt free.
Chin up and thanks for posting and accepting our friendship and support.
Thinking of you, be strong and don't think of desperate solutions anymore. You are so much more important than money,
Chardonnay x

hi idx
have you not considered maybe a house share, cheaper than renting on your own and possibly finding some one to share with who could become a friend and some one you can talk to and having that bit of independence and freedom too.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement, it meant a lot to know that I do not have to go through this on my own. Abby, thanks for the suggestion about possibly house sharing this is something I have never looked into, but am now considering at the moment. I have now found an agency who are looking for guardians to live and look after their properties and I feel this would be a good avenue for me take.

Thank you once again all :-)
