Hi,
I have been in an IVA for 17 months, without any contact from my creditors.
This morning I received a credit card statement from one of my creditors, Halifax, stating that I have to pay the full balance of the card (£2,000) by the end of the month.
Is this something I should be concerned about? should I inform my IP?
Thanks

Assuming that this creditor was actually included in your IVA, you should inform your IP who will probably tell you to rip it up. What a waste of paper and a stamp!

Funny you should post this. My IVA finished at the start of the year and I have just had a cc bill from Bank of Scotland. A quick call to them soon proved that it was a mistake. Perhaps the banks are that hard up they will try anything now to get some money back.

This does seem to be happening a lot just lately.
At least those in an IVA needn't be worried. As Melanie says, it's just a waste of paper and postage. They'd all be better off saving this money towards their own financial woes!

I think someone's been busy in the credit card departments of most banks because I had the same thing from the bank of Scotland today! Also had capital one phoning me because I had missed 0.44p off a recent payment sent to them - I know the banks are in a bad way but it must have cost capital one more than 44p to phone me LOL[:)]
