i work in finance - investment bank. I know that employers (existinga nd potential) credit check employees. Will an IVA affect my career adversely? You cannot work in an investment bank if you have been bankrupt previously.

Hi
Well an IVA is a formal insolvency agreement and will be on The Insolvency Register so do take advice before going down this route.
Banks can tend to lump bankruptcy and IVAs in the same boat

I have several client who work for investment banks, who have been obliged to disclose their IVA as part of the annual declaration, but who have not had their employment affected. Check your terms and conditions to be sure.
