Apologies if this has been asked before but been thinking of this question for a while and can't find anything on the forum.

If you were in an IVA for example, say 2 years and then for some reason, you failed it and went for a DMP instead, I assume you would still remain on the Register?. Then later on decided you wanted to try for an IVA again and got accepted again, would your name appear twice on the Insolvency Register with the 2 different Dates? Probably doesn't happen that often and sorry if it seems a daft question but I'm just curious[:)] Or is it a case of not being able to get an IVA within that 5 year period of having the first one?

Or even, if you had an IVA then unfortunately had to go Bankrupt, would the IVA part be wiped off then and it would just show the Bankruptcy?

For anyone who doesn't know, I'm not in anything at present but due to have Creditors Meeting soon. So not in any of the situations at all, just my curious mind[;)]

Thanks in Advance

Hi
Your IVA comes off the Insolvency register when it is completed OR when it fails

Thanks Skip,

So it looks like it takes a little while sometimes for IVA to come off the Register when you've gone Bankrupt as well then?.

How long after your IVA fails should you come off the Insolvency register?

The Insolvency Service are required to update the register as soon as IPs advise them that the IVA has concluded.
