Hi, I've just found this forum and have a question.

I've got 2 years to go on my IVA and alls gone well so far. I'm single and live on my own but just found out i'm pregnant and may be going through with it on my own. The only thing is i won't be able to carry on with my IVA as will have to give up work for the time being and i've just been reading about the final offer payments which i knew nothing about. Theres a chance i could borrow money from a family member to make an offer do you think it's possible and how would i go about it? Not sure who to speak to first to be honest am feeling a bit scared at the prospect of maybe going bankrupt on top of everything else i'll have to deal with.

A full and final offer with your circumstances is a strong possibility for success.

And congratulations on your good news too. If you do have a family member prepared to help, then you have a really good reason for a variation - perhaps by making a lower offer in view of the circumstances than you originally pledged.

Hi Mummytobe and welcome to a great site, congratulations on having got this far with your IVA and also on the pending new arrival. I hope your F and F offer is accepted and then you can concentrate on your new life with the little one, take care and good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I just wanted to update everyone. I spoken to my advisir and all i owe on my IVA is £5,408 which i'm sure i'll be able to borrow from a familt member. They were very helpful and feel much better about things now. Will update further when things are hopefully put in motion. [:)]

My suggestion would be to offer around £4k or lower as because of your pending "arrival" you have a solid good reason. Good luck and congrats. x
