HI,

Im getting things sorted for my new DMP, and am thinking of moving banks again (Payroll will defo hate me, as it would be twice in two months and ive only worked there for 2 months! lol!) Anyway, im thinking of moving back to Abbey, however my IVA Supervisor said their maybe a risk of using Abbey in my IVA, as I owed Alliance and Leicester £700 and now that they are linked the right of offset would apply.

Would this be the case?

I wouln't use any bank that has any links to any of your creditors. It's not worth the risk of them offsetting payments.

I agree with Steve, if you are doing a DMP, then the bank could offset anything in your account against what you owe them. In an IVA, they can't.

Stick with a bank that has no links to any of your creditors.
