Hi there

I was told around 6 to 8 weeks from contact to meeting of creditors. I guess it depends who you have gone with and how complex or simple your case is.

You remind me of me at the begining, I just wanted it all done like yesterday. I know this is a very stressful time for you. If youre worried contact them and ask, they should have told you roughly anyway. You can find details of companies and user feedback on www.iva.com.

Good luck and keep posting.

Ours took 8 weeks from start to finish.

I'm sure you will hear something soon.

hi guys
first of all thank you for the response, yes i am stressing over it all and of course i want it done as quickly as possible, im sure im not there only client, but now its been 3 weeks since i made contact with them and as you are aware you are told 6-8 weeks for completion, i dont think mine is a complicated case, i am self employed and i know i have to have a face to face with my IP yet,so still a lot to do i guess, i sent paper work off 2 weeks ago recorded delivery, did email 2 days later to company, who emailed back saying they have recieved paper work and will file it when they get a chance, 5 days later sent another email asking for any news update, that was 5 days ago but no response as yet,i think the problem being i phoned a few iva companies before deciding on this one and they all seemed to want to get it done asap, now its seems im hearing nothing, is this normal guys should i just relax ?

many thanks .

Hi Allyw

Timescales can vary from company to commpany and some do require a little more work as you say you are unemployed.
Do you only have an email. I would just give them a ring and ask how they are getting on and when should you be reaching the next stage.

Try not to get too stressed you will get there.
We are alway here for any help.

Hi

Mine took about 6 weeks to get paperwork back from IP which included a date for the creditors meeting, which was then another 6-8 weeks away
